How to install or upgrade to windows 8 Operating System (OS) in simple step Pictures

1.. The first thing to do is to back up you files before begining a fresh os installation. Since we all know this process will completely erase all our files...You can simply backup your data into an external harddrive or a cloud storage.

The next step is to insert your windows 8 installation CD and if you downloaded the iso windows 8 file on a flash driver, then all you need to do is to alter your boot order from your system BIOS settings and make your flash drive or your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM boot first before your internal hard drive. Once that is done your pc restart itself...

Once your pc restarts you should see the new windows 8 start up splash screen as shown in the image above..nothing should be done yet just wait.

the next screen  prompts you for some simple basic setup questions as shown above...
This screen prompts you to enter your product key, a 25-digit alphanumeric code. If you purchased windows 8 yourself, then look for the key in the email confirmation sent to you after downloading it. Else if windows 8 came pre-installed on your pc, look for a sticker with the product key underneath your computer.

This screen prompts you to choose between an “upgrade install” and a “custom install.” Choose “custom install” if you are willing to install a fresh windows 8 os on your computer.note: A custom installation will completely erase all old files from the drive that contains your old operating system, this is why i recommend you to do a full back up of the old os before you do a fresh os installation. An Upgrade is also nice, it simply upgrades your previous os into windows 8 with all your files and programs already in place. an Os upgrade will but your old programs and files into a "windows.old" folder inside your drive as seen in the image above, but you’ll get better overall performance from a custom install, . a custom installation improves the overall speed of your computer.

Select the drives associated with the old operating system that you'd like to delete for a "custom install". once that is done you will see the drive as unallocated space, which means the drive is empty and a fresh operating system can be installed on it. as seen in the images above.
Windows 8 setup will now begin installation on your computer. This  takes about 10-20 minutes. you can simply relax and await the new windows 8 os experience by microsoft..All you need to do now is so to follow basic screen dialogs as shown below to setup and personal you computer as you wish...
