The Galaxy Gear, which runs apps, takes pictures and makes phone calls when paired with a phone,It will be available in 149 countries.
When synced with an Android device, the Galaxy Gear is an extension of the smartphone but doesn't replace it. It has a 1.63-inch AMOLED touchscreen, can run a slew of apps from RunKeeper to Path and can take voice commands and snap pictures on the go. It's powered by an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM, and the battery is said to last about a day.
